Biography.


Richard Weeden is a musical director based in London. He is currently musical director of Mamma Mia UK and music supervisor for UK Productions.

Richard was musical director on Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story On Stage, the original UK tour of Priscilla Queen of the Desert starring Jason Donovan and Richard Grieve, assistant musical director on the original UK tours of 9 to 5 - The Musical and Sister Act and was arranger, orchestrator and music supervisor for Craig Revel Horwood's critically acclaimed Brother Loves Travelling Salvation Show, starring Brian Conley and Darren Day.

He trained in the UK as a classical pianist with Dr Anne Holmes MBE and gained diplomas from the Trinity College of Music and the London College of Music at the age of fifteen. Richard then went on to became a professional freelance musician, performing worldwide at the age of sixteen.

Theatre credits include: Disney's Beauty and the BeastHairspraySpamalot, Fame!GreaseBugsy MaloneLittle Shop of HorrorsBlood Brothers, and Oliver!.

Artist credits include: Jeff Beck (Royal Albert Hall, O2 Arena), Michael Ball, Tony Hadley, Tony Christie, Joss Stone (O2 Arena) and Imelda May (Royal Albert Hall).

Richard is Director of UK Music Management Limited, providing professional bands and artists for weddings, corporate events and private parties. He also manages Titanium String Quartet London.
